IatriScan is a scanning solution designed specifically to integrate with the MEDITECH HCIS. It is the most cost-effective integrated document imaging solution available today for MEDITECH customers.

IatriScan was designed initially for use at point-of-service, to scan documents such as drivers' licenses and insurance cards. What customers like most about IatriScan is its seamless integration with MEDITECH routines, which saves staff time by minimizing the effort required to scan documents. Furthermore, because scanned documents can be viewed directly within MEDITECH applications by anyone who has the appropriate security, IatriScan helps eliminate hardcopies and paper shuffling.

IatriScan has been improved with the addition of bar-coded batch scanning, for use in areas like HIM / Medical Records. IatriScan batch scanning allows the use of single or dual barcodes (such as account number and document name), which enables the system to detect bar coded information no matter where the information is placed on the document. IatriScan does not require third party software or its associated costs.
